Zevia Ginger Root Beer Waffles

Waffles are a favorite of ours for many reasons. Who doesn’t love a sweet breakfast with a crispy outside and a fluffy inside? On top of that, they’re super versatile and you can top them with a million different things. With this awesome recipe made with Zevia Ginger Root Beer, worrying about all that added sugar is an issue of the past.

Ingredients: 

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/8 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 can Zevia Ginger Root Beer
  • granulated stevia equivalent to 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions:

  1. Preheat waffle iron and lightly grease
  2. Add flour, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl. Mix to combine
  3. In another bowl, add butter, sea salt, vanilla extract, eggs, and Zevia Ginger Root Beer. Mix to combine
  4. Combine mixtures from both bowls and mix with a hand mixer
  5. Add in stevia and pecans. Mix lightly until just combined
  6. Add batter to waffle iron and cook until golden brown
  7. Garnish with chopped bananas, nuts, and a dollop of coconut cream
