Creamy Root Beer Chocolate Donuts

These better-for-you donuts are both delicious and packed with flavor!
There is not flour, no refined white sugar and no eggs, but don’t worry they are still rich, chocolaty and perfectly sweet with the Zevia Creamy Root Beer.

  1. Preheat the oven to 370F
  2. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients and mix well, and set aside.
  3. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate, coconut oil, and mix well. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute, then stir.
  4. Continue heating in 30-second bursts, sir in between, until mixture is melted and smooth. Remove from microwave and let cool slightly.
  5. Add the Zevia Creamy Root Beer into the melted mixture and stir.
  6. Slowly combine the dry and wet ingredients, mix until smooth.
  7. Add the dough into a nine silicone donut mold.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes.
  9. Let it cool down while you start on the frosting.
  10. For frosting, combine soaked almonds, maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a blender or food processor. Mix until the mixture gets a soft and creamy consistency. 
  11. Use the mixture as a frosting for your creamy root beer chocolate donuts, and enjoy!
